97L, Visible, 5:00 PM EST. 97L is a tropical low currently above Puerto Rico which has resisted shear and dry air by developing nicely. The NHC gives 97L a 60% chance of developing into tropical storm Bonnie. 97L’s future path is still unlikely, most models are predicting a Florida landfall but landfall areas range from the Keys up to Fort Lauderdale. After passing over Florida some models are predicting that 97L will strengthen and make landfall somewhere between Louisiana and the Floridian panhandle.
