A view of the Atlantic on September 16 when there were 3 hurricanes simultaneously in the Atlantic basin. Hurricane Karl in the Gulf of Mexico, Hurricane Igor in the central Atlantic, and Hurricane Julia following behind him. This is the 11th time this has ever occurred.
